Your responsibilities
  • Active contribution to the development of a microfluidic platform for ex vivo culturing of organotypic cerebellum tissue slices
  • Establishment of real-time monitoring of compound impact on tumor cell growth and tissue interactions
  • Mouse tissue extraction and organotypic brain slice culture maintenance
  • Competitive translational research activities in the context of overall research direction of lab
  • Maintenance of active collaboration with engineers and microtechnology experts to achieve the technical and scientific goals of the project
  • Support in project management and reporting
Your profile
  • A Ph.D. in cancer biology, cell and molecular biology, biochemistry or related field
  • Expertise in mammalian cell culture
  • Expertise in working in vivo with rodent models (FELASA-approved training)
  • Expertise in microscopy
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • You are a self-motivated, collaborative personality
  • Expertise in three-dimensional cell or tissue culture models is desired (not mandatory)

Your salary

Your estimated gross salary for a 100% position should fall between CHF 95'000 and CHF 105'000 per year.

The exact salary will depend on your qualifications and professional experience. Your salary will be established in accordance with our salary guidelines during the selection process. Applicants who do not yet possess the necessary skills and experience may in some cases be offered a lower pay grade. In many cases, supplementary pay will be offered for irregular working hours. Further salary development will depend on your performance and the financial ability of the Eleonorenstiftung.
